Do I need a webcam to try the Posture Viewer software?

No. The software comes with stock video that allows you to test every aspect of the software. Of course to use the software for patients you’ll need to purchase a webcam. These can cost anywhere from $30 to $150. Check out our recommended webcam.

Where do I put this in my office?

Your Report of Findings room or Consult room make a great spot. Even your treatment rooms work well if you have a little extra space. If you already have computers in your treatment room you’re good to go.

How do I mount the camera?

I have it sitting on top of my computer. The height has to be 3-4 feet off the ground and the patients will have to stand 7-8 feet away from the camera.

How do you get the patients to line themselves up correctly each time?

A piece of tape on the floor or some other marker works well or put something on the wall for them to reference.

How do I back up my data?

When you run the software for the first time it creates a directory called “PostureViewerData”. This is the directory you’ll want to copy over to another drive to back up your images and emails. Or you put this folder into Dropbox and as you take your photos, they’re instantly uploaded and stored in the cloud with Dropbox. This is also how you can have the same photos available to separate versions of Posture Viewer over multiple computers even in different clinics.
