I recommend Logitech’s C920 webcam for Posture Viewer. It is the best webcam available and is inexpensive.
People often ask if they can use their still cameras instead of a webcam. The answer is no because there’s no quick way to get the digital image into Posture Viewer.
For those of you still using Posture Viewer versions 1.0 to 1.4, please consider the free upgrade to version 2.4. I suggest getting the new camera however. Five years ago when Posture Viewer was first released the top of the line camera was the Logitech Pro 9000 webcam. Now it’s old technology. In fact, the new version of Posture Viewer doesn’t work well with the Pro 9000 camera.
In addition, the quality of the camera I recommend, the Logitech C920, is incredible. Your images will be more crisp and clear with higher resolution. I could easily charge $125 for the Posture Viewer upgrade, but I charge nothing because photos are the key to expanding ABC™ and your practice. Invest $75 in the new camera.
If you’re concerned about having your images look different because of having a different camera I can assure you they will. The new camera will show a taller image with more accurate lighting. As long as the new camera is at the same height and at the same angle, you’ll have the accuracy you’re looking for. It’s worth the change and patients don’t care because you can still see the differences.
